NEW BERN, N.C. — A joint investigation by the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Division, the New Bern Police Department, and the Craven County Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of two individuals following complaints of illegal alcohol sales and disruptive activity at a Craven Terrace residence.
Authorities executed a search warrant at U167 Craven Terrace, where they seized a substantial quantity of contraband, including:
55 bottles of spirituous liquor
Cocaine, heroin, and marijuana
Assorted drug paraphernalia
Four firearms
$2,862 in U.S. currency
Edward Earl Herring and Bernik Shanea Wilson, both residents of New Bern, were arrested and now face a combined 18 criminal charges, 12 of which are felonies.
Herring was charged with:
Possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and marijuana
Possession of heroin
Four counts of possession of a firearm by a felon
Maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession for sale of alcoholic beverages without an ABC permit
Wilson faces similar charges, including:
Possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and marijuana
Possession of heroin
Maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession for sale of alcoholic beverages without an ABC permit
