LOGAN, Utah — A Franklin, Idaho man is facing felony charges after allegedly stealing a high-end motorcycle from a Logan dealership where he had recently been employed.
Edward George Flesher Jr., a former technician at Young Powersports, was arrested on May 25 and booked into Cache County Jail after Franklin County deputies discovered a stolen 2024 KTM 690 motorcycle at his residence. The motorcycle is valued at approximately $12,000.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Logan police were dispatched to Young Powersports after staff reported the bike missing. The theft is believed to have occurred between May 1 and May 5, shortly after Flesher left his position at the dealership.
Employees told officers that Flesher had the technical knowledge to remove the bike without triggering security systems or being caught on surveillance cameras. He also allegedly knew how to disable anti-theft technology on the motorcycle.
Following the report, the bike was entered into a national law enforcement database. Police then coordinated with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, who located the motorcycle at Flesher’s residence in Idaho.
When questioned, Flesher could not produce a bill of sale and instead claimed that an unidentified man had given him the motorcycle to repair. However, law enforcement was unable to verify the existence of this individual.
Flesher was booked on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, a second-degree felony under Utah law. He was later released pending formal charges in Logan’s 1st District Court.
The investigation remains ongoing.
