WEBB COUNTY, Texas — Edgar Alejandro Garcia Garcia and Evelyn de Fatima Interian were arrested on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, for their alleged involvement as co-conspirators in the murder of Maria del Rocio Arana.
According to the Webb County Sheriff’s Office, Garcia was taken into custody in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, while Interian was arrested the same day in Laredo, Texas. Both are suspects in a murder conspiracy reportedly planned in Laredo.
The case is connected to the killing of 34-year-old Maria del Rocio Arana, who was murdered on March 27 in Tonala, Jalisco, Mexico.
Investigations remain ongoing as authorities continue to piece together the full extent of the conspiracy.
