The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Bharatkumar Rambhai Patel, also known as Bobby Patel, for allegedly trafficking Indian citizens abroad since 2015.
The investigation was initiated based on an FIR registered by the Sola High Court Police Station in Ahmedabad. The Ahmedabad Zonal Office of the ED confirmed the arrest in a statement on Thursday.
Bobby Patel has prior cases against him in Gujarat, West Bengal, and Delhi for illegally sending Indian nationals abroad. He was arrested under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) as part of the ongoing investigation.
