Dylan Thomas Rockard, 30, and Alina Mar Hall, 33, have been charged after Mount Pleasant police recovered an estimated $500,000 in stolen coins and collectibles linked to a series of Lowcountry storage-unit burglaries.

The suspects were initially taken into custody on February 16 by the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office on unrelated charges. Detectives later connected them to a break-in reported that same day at Go Store It on Johnnie Dodds Boulevard. The victim reported that her storage unit had been burglarized and a high-value coin collection was missing.

Investigators reviewing previous burglary cases identified Rockard and Hall as possible suspects. Evidence linking the pair to the theft was found in the storage unit, and detectives confirmed their movements using interviews conducted earlier that morning at Al Canon Detention Center. A search warrant signed by Bond Court Judge Amanda Haseldon was executed at a Charleston County residence on February 17.

During the search, officers discovered a hidden attic space containing a pelican case with a Springfield Armory rifle and multiple magazines. The firearm belonged to a man who later confirmed it had been stolen from his storage unit, and it was returned to him.

Police recovered approximately $500,000 of stolen property from the home, believed to have been taken from multiple locations across the Lowcountry. Rockard and Hall each face six burglary charges.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are expected as detectives continue linking recovered items to victims. Authorities are urging local storage renters to check their units and report any suspicious activity.
