DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. – The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) arrested a Warsaw man after a farm theft led to multiple felony charges.
On October 6, 2025, DCSO received a report of felony larceny at a farm in the Warsaw area. Stolen items included tools and a Polaris Ranger UTV. Surveillance footage captured the suspect during the theft, and detectives identified him as Christopher Lonnie Howard, 40, of Warsaw. Community tips also helped recover the stolen Polaris Ranger, officials said.
On October 16, deputies executed a search warrant at Howard’s residence and property. He was arrested and charged with:
Felony Larceny (2 counts)
Felony Larceny of Firearm (1 count)
Possession of Firearm by a Felon (1 count)
Felony Possession of Stolen Goods (1 count)
Felony Obtain Property by False Pretense (1 count)
Injury to Personal Property (1 misdemeanor count)
Second Degree Trespass (1 misdemeanor count)
Howard was placed in Duplin County Jail under no bond, according to DCSO.
