The Pimpri Chinchwad cyber police arrested Narendra Shishram Singh (28), a Dubai-based man, within two days of his arrival in India. Singh was linked to an online fraud scheme involving mule bank accounts used to receive money from victims. A trader from Kolhapur and another from Ulhasnagar were also arrested in connection with the fraud. Singh reportedly came to India to collect more mule account details after luring his contacts into helping him with such fraudulent activities. The fraud, which involved duping a medical practitioner of Rs 66.63 lakh, was uncovered after investigations revealed the use of mule accounts across different states.
