Drug Peddler Sapan Roy Arrested with Heroin in Khanapara Raid

The Special Task Force (STF) carried out a targeted raid near the Khanapara roundabout, under the jurisdiction of the Basistha Police Station, based on reliable intelligence. The operation led to the arrest of a 23-year-old habitual drug peddler and thief, identified as Sapan Roy, alias Bhuttu.

Roy, from Kacharihat under Golakganj Police Station in Dhubri, was apprehended at the Magic taxi stand, a known location for illicit activities. During the raid, the police seized 18 vials containing 23.5 grams of suspected heroin, along with 3 empty plastic containers, 3 wrenches, and a knife. These items were linked to his drug trafficking and theft activities.

Sapan Roy, with a history of criminal offenses, is believed to have been operating as part of a larger drug trafficking network. Further investigations are underway as the authorities intensify their efforts to break the criminal operations in the region.
