Dozen Arrested in Seneca County Welfare Fraud Investigation

Multiple residents charged with welfare fraud and misuse of food stamps

In a March welfare fraud investigation, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested nearly a dozen residents accused of fraudulently obtaining public assistance benefits. Sheriff Timothy Thompson reported that investigators worked closely with the Seneca County Department of Human Services to uncover the fraudulent activities.

The following individuals were charged as part of the investigation:

Benyamina F. Fox, 46, of Seneca Falls, NY, faces charges of Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the first degree, Welfare Fraud in the third degree, and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Jessica G. Campbell, 42, of Seneca Falls, NY, has been charged with Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Jennifer L. Heitmann, 41, of Waterloo, NY, faces charges of Welfare Fraud in the third degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Patricia M. Barner, 28, of Seneca Falls, NY, has been charged with Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Yupawan Georgiadis, 47, of Interlaken, NY, faces charges of Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Kaylee E. Millerd, 38, of Seneca Falls, NY, has been charged with Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Ashton N. Finocchario, 36, of Seneca Falls, NY, has been charged with Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Cinnamon S. Doane, 52, of Ovid, NY, faces charges of Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the first degree, Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree, and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Cassidy A. Skillo, 26, of Seneca Falls, NY, has been charged with Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Karen A. Frederick, 61, of Seneca Falls, NY, faces charges of Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the first degree, Welfare Fraud in the third degree, and Misuse of Food Stamps.

All the accused are scheduled to appear at the Waterloo Town Court to answer the charges. It is important to note that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
