SMITHLAND, KY (KBSI) — A 26-year-old Smithland woman, Doris Thorn, was arrested Tuesday evening during a routine home visit by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Probation and Parole.
During the visit, deputies reportedly discovered methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and prescription medications. As a result, Thorn faces multiple charges, including trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal possession of a legend drug.
Authorities confirmed the items were seized at the residence during the scheduled compliance check. Thorn was taken into custody without incident.
She is currently being held pending court proceedings. As with all criminal cases, Doris Thorn is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
