Donald Saunders, Christopher Williams Arrested for Drug and Gun Charges in Wilmington

Two Men Detained After Drug Activity and Firearm Seizure in Delaware

WILMINGTON, DE — On June 17, 2025, Wilmington police arrested two men, Donald Saunders, 28, and Christopher Williams, 29, after observing suspected drug-related activity near Chestnut and South Harrison Streets.

Officers from the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division found Saunders and Williams allegedly involved in drug transactions. The arrest yielded a loaded .380 caliber handgun and 5.67 grams of crack cocaine.

Saunders faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm during a felony, two counts of possession by a prohibited person, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $60,000 cash bail.

Williams was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, arraigned in the same court, and held on $7,500 cash bail.

Authorities stress that both men are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Further updates will follow as the investigation continues.
