FRANKSTOWN, Miss. – Donald Richey Hatfield, 57, of Booneville was arrested on July 25 after deputies found him naked at the W.M. Browning Cretaceous Fossil Park in Frankstown.
Deputies from the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a naked man at the park. Upon arrival, Hatfield was clothed and charged with indecent exposure.
During a search of Hatfield’s vehicle, deputies discovered a felony amount of hydrocodone as well as a small amount of methamphetamine. Additional charges may be filed pending further analysis by the crime lab.
“Sheriff Tolar and Deputy Kolby Knight found a felony amount of hydrocodone in the vehicle,” the department’s press release stated. “More charges are possible pending the crime lab analysis.”
Hatfield’s bond was set at $5,000. Narcotics Agent Grady Smith will present the case to the next grand jury for further action.
