BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) — A man already behind bars now faces even graver charges after allegedly attempting to arrange a murder-for-hire from inside the Butler County Jail.

According to court documents, Dominick Grubb is accused of conspiring to commit murder by trying to recruit another inmate to carry out the killing. Unbeknownst to Grubb, the inmate he approached became a confidential informant and reported the scheme to authorities.

Grubb reportedly offered to deposit $100 into the informant’s jail commissary account as payment for the hit. He is said to have provided the intended victim’s home address, social media profiles, and even the location of her child’s school bus stop—where he wanted the murder to take place.

Investigators say Grubb showed shocking disregard for potential collateral damage, allegedly stating that he “didn’t care if the child of the intended victim was also killed.”

Grubb has been formally charged with conspiracy to commit murder and remains in custody.
