Los Angeles police have arrested 41-year-old Dojoon Park after discovering $4.5 million worth of stolen goods at his business, DJ General Tool and Wire. The arrest followed police raids at two locations connected to the store on August 14 and August 19. During the searches, officers recovered a large amount of stolen merchandise, including power tools from well-known brands like Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Makita, as well as e-bikes, home appliances, and other cargo.
Park was taken into custody for receiving stolen property. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the case involves organized retail and cargo theft, which officials say affects local businesses, workers, and families. LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell stated that the police worked alongside Union Pacific Police and the Los Angeles Port Police to recover the stolen items and emphasized that law enforcement will take action against those who deal in stolen property.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is now working on filing formal charges. District Attorney Nathan Hochman said authorities are committed to identifying and dismantling organized theft operations. He warned that anyone who steals in Los Angeles County will be held accountable. The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests may follow.
