Dispur Police have arrested four cyber criminals from different parts of the city in a series of coordinated operations. The arrested individuals have been identified as Suden Basumatary, Dina Singh, Ganga Chandra Brahma, and Bablu Sarkar.
Authorities stated that the gang was involved in multiple cybercrime cases reported across the state in recent months. Suden Basumatary hails from Balagari in Chirang district, Dina Singh from Sagalband, Imphal West, Manipur, Ganga Chandra Brahma from Balajol Tiniali in Kokrajhar district, and Bablu Sarkar from Bongaigaon. They were booked under Sections 61(2), 319(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2), and 3(5) of the BNS in connection with case number 954/2025 registered with Dispur Police.
In a separate operation, Dispur Police also arrested a notorious motorcycle lifter, Kismat Ali, from the Hatigaon area. The accused is a resident of Sidoli in Barpeta district. Authorities confirmed that both operations are part of ongoing efforts to combat crime in the city and maintain public safety.
