Thane police have arrested 45-year-old Dinesh Ramesh Vyas for allegedly fatally stabbing his wife Meena Vyas at their residence in Mumbra, Maharashtra. Authorities stated the incident occurred around 9:30 pm on February 3.
According to Senior Inspector Anil Shinde of Mumbra Police Station, Vyas attacked his wife with a sharp weapon in the drawing room, causing injuries that proved fatal.
“After committing the act, he attempted to wash away the bloodstains with water in a bid to destroy evidence,” Inspector Shinde added.
The accused is currently in police custody as the investigation continues, with authorities gathering evidence and recording witness statements to determine the full circumstances of the crime.
