Hyderabad: In a swift action against property theft, the Miyapur Police have arrested two individuals accused of stealing electrical wires from construction sites in Miyapur and nearby areas, including Gachibowli.
The accused have been identified as K. Dilip Kumar, a resident of Suraram, and Nishal Karelkar from Hafeezpet — both employed as cab drivers. Police said the duo was involved in the theft of 81 bundles of Finolex electrical wires, which they stole by forcibly breaking locks at under-construction sites.
Following a series of complaints about wire thefts, investigators launched a detailed probe that led to the suspects’ arrest. The stolen wire bundles were later sold at scrap shops located in Madinaguda and Secunderabad.
Police recovered the stolen property and stated that further inquiries are underway to determine whether the accused were connected to other similar thefts in the region.
