Diego and Luis Ochoa Arrested in Waterford Shooting

Two men face charges after Yosemite Boulevard incident

STANISLAUS COUNTY, Calif. — Waterford Police Services have arrested two men in connection with a shooting that occurred on February 2 behind the Pioneer Market at 12138 Yosemite Boulevard. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The main suspect, 18-year-old Diego Ochoa of Waterford, was located and arrested in Modesto on February 4. During the execution of a search warrant at his residence to collect additional evidence, authorities identified a second suspect, 21-year-old Luis Ochoa, also of Waterford.

Deputies attempted to detain Luis Ochoa, who fled the scene in a vehicle, prompting a brief pursuit that was later discontinued for safety reasons. He was subsequently arrested in Turlock.

Investigators recovered four firearms during the investigation, two of which were confirmed stolen.

Diego Ochoa faces charges including assault with a firearm, discharging a firearm, and brandishing a firearm. Luis Ochoa was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property, obstruction, and evading law enforcement.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
