Patna police have arrested Dheeraj Kumar Mahto, the prime accused in the murder of Dharmveer Paswan in Barh sub-division, Patna district. Dharmveer was shot dead on January 3 in Jal Govind village, allegedly over personal enmity and pressure to withdraw an assault case.
According to SDPO-I of Barh, Anand Kumar Singh, five people are named in the case, including Dheeraj, Arvind Mahto (Bhagat Mukhiya), Shravan Mahto, Avinash Mahto, and Markari. Using technical surveillance and human intelligence, a special police team arrested Dheeraj, while the search for the remaining accused continues.
