Jhunjhunu police on Monday arrested Dharmpal Meghwal, the 13th accused in the abduction and murder of history-sheeter Dennis Bawaria, who was killed on October 20 along the Churu Bypass. Meghwal, 25, a resident of Daulatpura Katrathal in Sikar district, was a wanted criminal with a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head.
SP Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay stated that Meghwal had been hiding in the hills of Raiwasa and Katrathal but was intercepted by police while moving toward Katrathal village due to financial constraints. His capture followed a tip-off from an informer.
Police have conducted raids across multiple locations including Raiwasa, Jeen Mata, Harsh, Sikar, Jaipur, Losal, Nagaur, Ringas, and Chomu to apprehend Meghwal, who had been evading arrest. So far, 13 individuals have been arrested in connection with the Bawaria murder case.
The two principal masterminds, Mandeep alias Madiya from Bissau and notorious criminal Deepak Malsaria from Jhunjhunu Sadar, remain at large, each carrying a reward of Rs 50,000. Investigation reveals that Mandeep and Malsaria had a personal enmity with Bawaria and orchestrated the murder by recruiting accomplices to execute their plan. Police continue to pursue leads to capture the remaining suspects.
