Dharamveer Gangwar Arrested with Rs 40 Lakh Heroin in Uttarakhand

Rudrapur Police Seize 135 Grams of Heroin in Joint Operation

In a major drug bust, Uttarakhand police arrested Dharamveer Gangwar, a 55-year-old drug smuggler, near Gandhi Park in Rudrapur on Saturday evening. A joint operation by the Uttarakhand Police and the Anti Narcotics Task Force led to the recovery of 135 grams of heroin, valued at approximately Rs 40 lakh.

Senior Superintendent of Police Navneet Bhullar stated that during interrogation, Gangwar admitted to sourcing the heroin from Mirganj in Bareilly district, Uttar Pradesh, intending to sell it in Rudrapur and nearby areas.

Police are currently investigating Gangwar’s criminal record and have indicated that further action will be taken against other smugglers identified during questioning.
