A Statesboro man, identified as Dexter Raymond Hendrix, is facing multiple charges related to illegal drug trafficking after a major investigation by the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Team.
In January, the Crime Suppression Team launched an investigation into narcotics trafficking in Statesboro. During the investigation, Hendrix, a resident of Spruce Street, was identified as a key suspect. With the assistance of the Georgia Department of Community Supervision, officers and investigators carried out a search at Hendrix’s residence on Tuesday.
The search resulted in the seizure of large amounts of powder cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills, compressed fentanyl tablets, drug-related objects, and a firearm.
Hendrix was arrested and transported to the Bulloch County Jail, where he awaits further legal proceedings. The charges against him include:
Trafficking fentanyl
Trafficking cocaine
Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
Possession of Schedule II controlled substance with intent to distribute
Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
Possession of firearm by convicted felon
Possession of firearm during the commission of certain felonies
Possession of drug-related objects
Sheriff Noel Brown thanked the Department of Community Supervision for their support during the investigation, which led to the significant drug bust and Hendrix’s arrest.
