PLEASANT GROVE, Ala. (WBMA) — Devin Jamar Johnson has been charged with the murder of 21-year-old Montease Booker of Birmingham, authorities confirmed on April 1, 2025. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on March 31, 2025.
Johnson was arrested and is currently being held without bond at the Jefferson County Jail.
Authorities described the incident as domestic in nature, and reassured the public that there is no ongoing danger to the community.
“The Pleasant Grove Police Department sends heartfelt condolences to the family of Ms. Booker in this senseless act of violence,” the department stated.
