LYONS, NY — A Lyons woman is facing charges after a series of theft and identity fraud incidents involving unauthorized mobile transactions.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old Destiny Mantooth unlawfully accessed an iPhone 13 and carried out two unauthorized Cash App transactions in the Town of Lyons.
She was arrested and taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing. Mantooth is currently being held at the Wayne County Jail while she awaits arraignment through the Centralized Arraignment Part.
Officials emphasize that charges are accusations and Mantooth is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
