MANCHESTER, Conn. — A 25-year-old man, Derrick Lee, was arrested Friday following a coordinated narcotics raid at his Manchester residence, where authorities say they uncovered a variety of illegal drugs.
The operation was conducted by the East Central Narcotics Task Force in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Hartford Regional Office. Officers executed a search warrant at Lee’s apartment located at 88-7 Oak Street, where he was identified as the primary target in an ongoing narcotics investigation.
During the search, law enforcement officials allegedly found approximately 10 grams each of raw fentanyl, powdered cocaine, and crack cocaine. The substances were reportedly packaged in a manner consistent with drug distribution, according to Manchester Police.
Lee now faces multiple felony charges, including:
Three counts of possession with intent to distribute
Operating a drug factory
Interfering with police
He was held on a $250,000 cash/surety bond and was arraigned Friday morning in Manchester Superior Court.
Authorities have not released further details about the scope of the investigation but stated that more arrests could follow as the case develops.
