ORISKANY, N.Y. — A Utica man has been charged with felony assault following a fight at the Oneida County Correctional Facility that left another inmate injured.
On September 8, deputies from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a fight between two inmates inside the facility.
According to investigators, Deronn Pool allegedly struck another inmate multiple times, causing a forehead injury that required medical treatment.
Pool was arrested on September 25 and charged with assault. He was processed and returned to the correctional facility to await arraignment.
