PEMBROKE, ONTARIO — The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP have arrested a Pembroke man in connection with the theft of power tools from a local workshop and business van.
Between April 17 and April 20, an unknown individual entered a property on Lea Street and stole several power tools from both a workshop and a van. Following a police investigation, a suspect was identified and arrested on April 24.
During the arrest, officers discovered a quantity of suspected fentanyl in the suspect’s possession.
The accused, Derick Sullivan, 39, of Pembroke, faces multiple charges, including:
Theft under $5,000
Breaking out of a place
Failure to comply with a probation order
Possession of a Schedule I substance
Sullivan is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 25.
Police have not confirmed if the stolen tools have been recovered. The investigation remains ongoing.
