CARRIERE, Miss. — Two Carriere residents were arrested on methamphetamine charges following a traffic stop conducted by Pearl River County narcotics investigators, authorities confirmed.
According to the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were patrolling the Darby Lane area on August 19 in response to community complaints about drug activity.
Around 3:00 p.m., investigators stopped a 2008 Honda CR-V on Sugar Creek Road near Darby Lane for a traffic violation.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies found methamphetamine, leading to the arrests of:
Denson Parker, 42, of Carriere
Erin Doyle, 33, of Carriere
Both individuals were taken into custody and booked into the Pearl River County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine.
Authorities did not release further information on the quantity of drugs recovered or whether additional charges are pending.
The investigation remains ongoing.
