DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Kevin Allen Robertson, 36, is behind bars after allegedly robbing two Delray Beach banks in as many days.
According to the Delray Beach Police Department (DBPD), Robertson was arrested on July 17 following a robbery at Chase Bank on West Atlantic Avenue. The probable cause affidavit indicates that Robertson entered the bank wearing a black t-shirt and handed the teller a threatening note demanding cash in various denominations. The note read, “God knowing where she lived.”
The teller complied, placing $10,546 in cash into a crumpled brown Publix bag provided by the suspect. Robertson then fled the scene through the back door.
Officers quickly established a perimeter with the help of K-9 units, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office helicopter, and FBI agents. Robertson was located shortly afterward and taken into custody without incident. He now faces charges of robbery and resisting arrest without violence.
This arrest came just one day after Robertson allegedly robbed Truist Bank on East Linton Boulevard. In that robbery, he passed two handwritten notes to tellers, demanding money and warning them not to use tracking devices. One note said: “$100’s, $50’s, $20’s Fast, No Tracker, No B******t, God Knows where you live.” The second note read, “Thanks be to god, we know where you live, follow the instructions.”
