On January 23, Delhi Police seized 10 kilograms of high-grade heroin worth over Rs 50 crore and arrested three individuals involved in an inter-state drug cartel. The operation was carried out by the Special Cell after receiving intelligence that a drug shipment was about to be supplied in the Mangolpuri area.
The arrested individuals were identified as Mitralal Khatiwoda (45), Krishna Neopani (21), and Akash Karki (25). According to police reports, the accused acted as couriers for a larger drug syndicate operating from Manipur.
Further investigation revealed that the arrested individuals were transporting the heroin as part of a larger smuggling operation, which spans multiple states. Authorities are continuing to investigate the connections of this drug network.
