Delhi Police have arrested Kamal and Narender alias Neetu, the main shooters allegedly involved in the killing of dairy owner Ratan Lohiya (60) in South Delhi’s Aya Nagar on November 30.
Ratan was shot 69 times near his home by a gang of five men, despite wearing a bulletproof jacket. CCTV footage identified Kamal, Narender, and Anuj Chaudhary as the shooters; the remaining two attackers are still at large. The police recovered two sophisticated .30-bore pistols, 40 live cartridges, and the stolen motorcycle used in the attack.
According to Delhi Crime Branch officials, Kamal admitted that Ratan had dared them during a public meeting, prompting the fatal shooting. The attack is believed to be a revenge killing for the May 2025 murder of Arun Lohiya, over a property and financial dispute. Kamal and Narender have multiple criminal cases in Faridabad and are linked to the Faridpuria-Bhau and Randeep Bhati gangs.
During their arrest, the duo fired at the police and were injured in the legs in retaliation. The investigation continues to apprehend the remaining suspects.
