Delhi Police have arrested three men in connection with a house burglary that took place in Janakpuri. The accused, identified as Arjun alias Toto (23), Chaman alias Shooter (22), and Sameer (21), were apprehended at their hideout in Uttam Nagar on Monday while they were in the process of dividing the stolen goods.
On February 17, Rajpal, a showroom helper in Janakpuri, filed an FIR reporting that his home had been burgled. He stated that gold and silver jewelry as well as an LED TV were stolen. After reviewing CCTV footage from the scene, police identified the burglars and managed to get a clear image of one suspect, which was circulated among informers. This led to the identification of Sameer.
A police team then raided a house in Uttam Nagar and arrested the three men while they were dividing the stolen items. During questioning, the suspects revealed that they lived in the same neighborhood and had dropped out of school after the eighth grade. They turned to crime as a means of easy money. Notably, Arjun has prior charges of robbery and illegal possession of arms.
The arrested burglars were taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
