Delhi Police’s crime branch has arrested three individuals, including a Nigerian national, in connection with an international cocaine syndicate, seizing 194 grams of cocaine worth Rs 2.25 crore.

According to officials, a tip-off on September 6 alerted police that Rahul Wadhwa (32) and Abdul Kadir (29) would deliver a cocaine consignment in Sector-36, Rohini. Acting swiftly, a police team intercepted the duo around 3 PM, recovering 85 grams of cocaine from them. A case was registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Investigations revealed that the drugs were supplied by Chimezie Lazarus Ndedinigwe, alias Zudo (35), a Nigerian national residing in Mehrauli, who controls cocaine distribution in Delhi-NCR. Zudo was arrested on September 10, and an additional 109 grams of cocaine was seized from his residence.

Police said Kadir, a former taxi driver, was lured into trafficking by Zudo, who paid him Rs 1,000 per delivery. Kadir later introduced Wadhwa into the network. Zudo, who arrived in India in January 2023 for medical treatment, reportedly expanded his cocaine operations across Delhi, Gurgaon, Meerut, Chandigarh, and Haldwani.

Authorities continue investigations to identify additional associates and dismantle the broader network.
