Delhi Police have arrested two shop helpers in separate incidents for allegedly stealing from their employers.
In the first case, Munna Kumar (21) from Shimla was apprehended for allegedly siphoning over Rs 3.2 lakh from his employer’s bank account in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka area.
In a separate incident in northwest Delhi, police arrested Mahesh Varma (19) for allegedly stealing Rs 5 lakh in cash from his employer’s shop at NS Mandi on December 10. Varma reportedly took the money stored in the shop basement and fled the scene.
Police later apprehended Varma from the Adarsh Nagar area, recovering Rs 1 lakh in cash and a gold earring during the operation. Investigations into both cases are ongoing to determine if the accused have been involved in similar thefts elsewhere.
