Delhi Police have arrested a notorious drug lord, 50-year-old Dharamveer alias Palla, at the Singhu Border in Narela, officials confirmed on Tuesday. Dharamveer was wanted in both Delhi and Rajasthan for his involvement in several criminal cases.
The arrest followed a tip-off to the crime branch, which laid a trap at the Singhu Border on Monday. Dharamveer, who carried a Rs10,000 bounty on his head, was apprehended as he arrived at the checkpoint.
He is implicated in a high-profile case involving the seizure of 567 kilograms of illegal cannabis, valued at approximately Rs56 lakh, by Rajasthan Police in 2024. The cannabis was recovered from a mini truck intercepted by Rajasthan Police at Rawanjana Chauraha on the Lalsot-Kota Mega Highway on July 26, 2024.
Dharamveer has a history of involvement in multiple criminal cases, and his arrest is considered a significant breakthrough in ongoing anti-narcotics operations.
