by Ananya Mehta

The Tilak Marg Police in Delhi apprehended three suspects—Arbaz (22) from Sarai Kale Khan, Pankaj Mourya (22) from Jungpura, and Rahul Bagh (26) from Chirag Delhi—accused of stealing mobile phones and committing multiple crimes. Police recovered six stolen mobile phones, a dummy pistol, and a scooter used during the offenses.

The accused were reportedly selling the stolen phones on various e-commerce platforms using fake Aadhaar cards and forged invoices. The case broke open when a Blinkit delivery boy reported his mobile phone stolen while delivering an order on Pandara Road. The thieves duped him by pretending to make an online payment and fled with the device.

Following the complaint, an E-FIR (No. 80056549/2025) was filed under Section 303(2) BNS at the Tilak Marg Police Station on June 13, 2025. The investigation was led by SI Kamlesh Kumar, assisted by HC Sanjeet Kumar, Ct. Jhabbar Mal, and Ct. Ram Tyagi, under the supervision of SHO Gurmail Singh and ACP Nageen Kaushik.

CCTV footage revealed the suspects escaping on a scooter. Using order details from Blinkit and internet log analysis, police traced one suspect to Sarai Kale Khan, though he had moved out a month earlier. With technical surveillance and informants, the team located the trio in a rented home in Chhatarpur.

So far, these arrests have helped solve three E-FIRs from Tilak Marg, Kalkaji, and Vasant Kunj South, along with one lost mobile report from Sunlight Colony.
