LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — Authorities in Southern Maryland are actively searching for Delanta Darius Robertson, 21, of Baltimore, in connection with a stabbing that occurred Saturday evening in Lexington Park.
Deputies responded around 5:17 p.m. to a residence on the 21000 block of Essex Drive after reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from multiple torso wounds. The victim was airlifted to a trauma center and is currently in critical but stable condition.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim and Robertson knew each other and had been involved in a conflict throughout the day. Investigators recovered the suspected weapon at the scene. Officials believe the stabbing was related to this ongoing dispute and do not consider the incident a threat to public safety.
Robertson is described as a Black male with dark skin, a full dark beard, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black athletic pants and a black T-shirt.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Robertson on charges of second-degree attempted murder and first- and second-degree attempted assault.
