Montgomery Police have arrested 25-year-old Dejontae Westerly of Montgomery, charging him with murder in connection to the death of 59-year-old Charles Harris on February 9, 2025.
Police responded to a call just after 9 a.m. on February 9th in the 1600 block of South Holt Street, where they discovered Harris’ deceased body. Authorities confirmed that Harris was pronounced dead at the scene, but they have not yet released the cause of death.
Westerly was quickly identified as the suspect, and he was arrested and charged with murder. He is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Harris’ death remains ongoing, though no further details have been disclosed by the Montgomery Police Department at this time.
