In a significant development, the Goa Crime Branch on Tuesday arrested Deepali Parab (42), a Mumbai resident and wife of prime accused Myron Rodrigues, in connection with a multi-crore investment scam that duped numerous investors with promises of high returns.
According to Crime Branch SP Rahul Gupta, the arrest followed a thorough investigation that confirmed Parab’s active involvement in fraudulent operations orchestrated by her husband. “She played a crucial role in misleading investors and misappropriating the funds for personal gain,” Gupta said.
The case, originally registered with the Economic Offences Cell (EOC) of Goa Police, involves crores of rupees collected from unsuspecting victims under the pretext of high-return investments. Parab will be produced before a magistrate on Wednesday for a remand hearing.
