Decorick Farr Charged with Murder in Poplar Grove Shooting

Phillips County man arrested after fatal July 5 incident

POPLAR GROVE, AR — A Poplar Grove man, Decorick Farr, 41, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder following a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning, July 5, in Phillips County.

The shooting took place at around 2:15 a.m. in the 300 block of Phillips County Road 113. Responding to the scene, the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division (CID).

William “Red” Henderson, 38, was transported to Helena Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries. A second victim, a 47-year-old man, was also injured and taken to a hospital by private vehicle. He is currently listed in stable condition.

Following an investigation, CID agents arrested Farr in connection with the shooting. He has been booked into the Phillips County Detention Center and formally charged with first-degree murder.

No further details have been released regarding the motive or circumstances surrounding the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
