DECATUR, Ala. — A two-month investigation led to the arrest of 37-year-old Brandon Lamar Gladney on multiple drug and property charges on Wednesday.
The investigation, conducted by the Decatur Police Department’s vice/narcotics unit, began in January after reports of drug activity in the 1700 block of 10th Ave. SE. Gladney was identified as the primary suspect during the investigation.
On February 26, authorities executed search warrants at two homes—one in the 1700 block of 10th Ave. SE and another in the 100 block of Memorial Dr. NW. During the searches, investigators seized:
A trafficking amount of cannabis
A trafficking amount of cocaine
Spice
Multiple stolen firearms
Drug paraphernalia
An undisclosed amount of money
Gladney was charged with two counts of trafficking illegal drugs, two counts of second-degree receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on a $141,000 bond.
