Deanna Chambers, 59, of Georgetown, Delaware, was arrested by Delaware State Police for the theft of tramadol pills over a period of five months at a Harris Teeter in Selbyville.
The theft was discovered on November 12, 2024, after Harris Teeter Asset Protection conducted an internal investigation. It was found that Chambers, an employee at the store, had stolen several hundred tramadol pills between July and November 2024. On November 15, 2024, police contacted Chambers at her home, where she was taken into custody without incident.
Chambers was charged with felony theft and theft under $1,500. She was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on a $4,000 unsecured bond.
