Deago Harrell, 19, Charged for Using Counterfeit Bills in Michigan

West Bloomfield man found with stolen IDs, credit cards, and weapons

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – Deago Harrell, a 19-year-old from West Bloomfield, was arrested on September 3, 2025, for allegedly using counterfeit money and possessing a large amount of stolen financial information and weapons.

The arrest occurred around 6 a.m. after police executed a search warrant at a residence on the 7800 block of Timberlane Trail, near Haggerty and Oakley Park Road in West Bloomfield Township.

During the search, investigators recovered:

Counterfeit U.S. currency

Stolen checks, credit cards, and IDs

Victims’ financial documents and mail

A credit card reader/encoder

Laptops, tablets, and smartphones

Notebooks containing personal victim information

Prescription pills

Semiautomatic pistols, a shotgun, and multiple loaded and unloaded magazines

A desktop computer and digital camera

Harrell was officially charged with Uttering and Publishing Counterfeit Bills or Notes, a felony offense in Michigan. He was arraigned in the 48th District Court and given a $75,000 bond.

The investigation remains active as authorities continue to assess the extent of the fraud and identify potential victims.
