Troy Man Arrested After Robbery at M&T Bank
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Watervliet man was arrested on Monday in connection with a robbery at M&T Bank in Troy. Dax Courtwright, 49, is facing multiple charges related to the incident.
At 11:42 a.m. on February 10, M&T Bank employees contacted Troy Police, reporting a robbery. According to workers, a man entered the bank, demanded cash, and stole hundreds of dollars before fleeing the scene.
After receiving a suspect description, officers quickly located Courtwright in a parking lot on 15th Street, just seven minutes after the robbery was reported. He was arrested without further incident. Authorities confirmed that Courtwright did not use a weapon during the robbery, and fortunately, no one was injured.
Courtwright now faces charges of third-degree robbery and second-degree grand larceny. He was arraigned at Troy City Court and then remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail.
