Several people were arrested after the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on Highway 20 in Waterloo, Alabama, on Wednesday. The search warrant was obtained due to suspected drug-dealing activities inside the home.
During the raid, authorities discovered multiple individuals inside the residence along with over two pounds of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana, synthetic marijuana, and drug paraphernalia consistent with drug use and distribution. The street value of the seized drugs, including meth, is estimated to be around $10,000.
The following individuals were arrested in connection with the drug bust:
Dawn Marie Ford, 64, of Florence: Charged with trafficking in methamphetamine (ICE) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Brittney Lashay Miller, 34, of Florence: Charged with obstructing justice using a false name and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Joshua Randell Keeton, 36, of Florence: Charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bridgett Arlene Thompson, 64, of Florence: Charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (three counts) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
The arrests and seizures mark a significant operation by local authorities to combat drug trafficking in the area. The investigation remains ongoing.
