David Setzer and Taylor Gleason Arrested for U-Haul Theft in New Haven

Two people were arrested in New Haven after being found driving a stolen U-Haul truck. New Haven police discovered the truck on Davis Street, near Fairfield Street, late last night.

Officers saw the truck park, with a male exiting the driver’s seat and a female leaving the passenger side. As police approached, both suspects fled the scene.

The suspects were later found hiding in the basement of a nearby unlocked home. The man, identified as 30-year-old David Setzer, attempted to run again but was caught by police. He suffered a hand laceration in the process and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Setzer was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and interfering with police. He also had two active arrest warrants from New Haven. The woman, 28-year-old Taylor Gleason, initially gave a false name but was later identified. She was arrested on charges of larceny of a motor vehicle, interfering with police, burglary in the second degree, and criminal impersonation. Gleason also had active warrants from Stratford and Suffield.
