Lenoir County deputies arrested three individuals last Thursday in connection with several break-ins and thefts. The suspects were apprehended after deputies observed a suspicious vehicle outside an empty home on Eason Road near La Grange. Authorities suspected a break-in was taking place and responded to the scene.
The arrested individuals include 68-year-old David Hardy, 70-year-old Michael Hardy, and 26-year-old Desiree Mooring, all of whom face multiple charges. David Hardy and Mooring were also wanted for outstanding warrants from Lenoir County and Greene County.
David Hardy was charged with:
Felony Breaking and Entering
Felony Larceny After Breaking and Entering
Felony Possession of Stolen Property
An outstanding arrest warrant for a Greene County traffic violation
He was held at the Lenoir County Jail under a $10,500 secured bond.
Desiree Mooring faces charges of:
Felony Breaking and Entering
Felony Larceny After Breaking and Entering
Felony Possession of Stolen Property
An outstanding arrest warrant for possession of methamphetamine
Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Misdemeanor Simple Possession of a Scheduled IV Controlled Substance
Mooring was placed in the Lenoir County Jail, with a $5,000 secured bond for her arrest orders, and no bond for the new charges.
Michael Hardy was also charged with:

He was taken to the Lenoir County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
