STROUDSBURG, Pa. — David Frantz Jr., a Monroe County resident, was arraigned Friday facing two counts of receiving stolen property related to stolen all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).
The charges follow a May incident when Pocono Mountain Regional Police responded to an ATV crash in Tunkhannock Township’s Blossom Lane area. Witnesses directed officers to the 100 block of Candle Drive, where they found the injured ATV operator, later identified as Frantz.
During the encounter, Frantz attempted to discard a bag of suspected methamphetamine and was taken into custody.
Further investigation revealed that Frantz was storing two stolen ATVs at his Blakeslee residence. One, a repainted Yamaha Kodiak, had been stolen from a Mount Pocono Township residence in late 2024 and was linked to a burglary in the same area. The second, a 2005 Honda Rincon, was stolen from Jackson Township.
Frantz admitted to purchasing one ATV under suspicious circumstances and possessing the other. He is currently incarcerated on unrelated charges and remains on probation until 2027.
