VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Two men wanted in separate cases were arrested and arraigned this week by the Vicksburg Police Department, officials confirmed.
David Evans, 38, was arrested on Tuesday, May 20, and charged with aggravated domestic assault. Authorities also stated that Evans is wanted by the Mississippi Department of Corrections and has outstanding warrants in Texas. His bond was set at $275,000 by Vicksburg Municipal Court Judge Angela Carpenter.
Meanwhile, Darrius Latrell Wheeler, 21, was taken into custody on Monday, May 19, and charged with armed robbery. At the time of his arrest, Wheeler was already out on bond for a previous armed robbery charge. Judge Carpenter set his bond at $50,000.
Both men remain in custody as their legal proceedings move forward.
