SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) — A 17-year-old was arrested early Monday morning after allegedly pointing a replica firearm at cars and buildings in Sherman.

Officers responded to the area of Texoma Parkway near Loy Lake Road following reports of a man aiming what looked like a handgun at passing vehicles and structures.

Upon arrival, police located David Donnan, 17, in possession of a realistic-looking replica gun. He was taken into custody and charged with making a terroristic threat.

Authorities emphasized that even replica weapons can cause alarm and pose serious risks in public settings.
